Why Are Some People Totally Against Getting Drunk? Or Even Just Tipsy?
i understand if they know someone who’s life was devastated by an addiction or if they are recovering from one or whatnot, but i have a few friends with no history of alchohol abuse in their families that won’t touch it like it’s a sin or something. Don’t you think it’s okay to socially drink as long as you don’t get wasted and do stupid things? I don’t really need alchohol because i’m pretty easy going and goofy as it is, but some people constantly act like they have something shoved up their ***.

The problem is not to be drunken or not -
The problem is : are you sure you do this in a perfect freedom, don’t you make the happiness of spirit merchants, if
alkohol gives you a nice feeling : desiinhibition and sentiment of euphory – why can’t you stop at the right point ?
My POV against being drinking, is that people being massively drunken on saturday night are not FREE people, they ignore wide parts of themselves and choose the chemical solution just by laziness or easiness –
If they get DRUNK, means they loose their control, urinate, cry, shout, sing etc means that they don’t even know themselves well enough, to feel at which moment they have to stop – first glass, second, third ok then ? then they carry on fourth, fifth – the reasons why they do so – I think about women in the UK can be analyzed and controlled –
Personally I consider drunken people with disgust, and seen from France batalions of boozy teens from the UK in Boulogne or Dunkerque make me sad.
Well, some people just don’t like alcohol. That’s one thing.
For example, I know that I, myself, and probably allergic to fairly large doses of alcohol, so I won’t be able to drink even when I’m old enough.
Then there are others that abide by religion. I know my certain religion doesn’t forbid alcohol, but there are other religions that prohibit the consumption of such.
And, then, there are others that just don’t want to have the burden of being drunk. I’m sure it can be great sometimes, but some people just don’t like that feeling. You have to be considerate of them.
Then, something that actually pertains to your question, some people just don’t like the idea of people getting drunk. It might be out of worry, since there are over 40,000 people getting killed as a result of drunk driving a year. And, if you’re underage, to get totally wasted and make a fool out of yourself looks pretty bad in terms of reputation.
Not everyone will agree with you. You do not need to understand the reasoning behind someone else’s position to respect it and the person who holds it. If you wish “they” would do that for you, please do that for others. Model the tolerance you would like extended to you. Otherwise, you really are treating others in a way in which you do not like to be treated.
I can’t answer for anyone else. My reasons for not getting drunk are based in my beliefs. I am responsible for how I live out those beliefs only to God. I try to please Him and do as He asks because I love Him, not because of some imagined consequence for not doing so.
Alchohol just makes people stupid, and feeling goofy in the head, some people get off on that.I have been around enough people, that if they saw how they acted when they drink, they wouldn’t touch the stuff ever again !!! I just think if people gave non-alchohol drinks a chance, they would be surprised how great of a time they had, and that they remembered it the next day !!!
some people (unlike myself) would rather not pollute their bodies, and have probably seen drunks falling down stupid, puking their guts up, acting like idiots, and totally embarrassing themselves. They’d rather have full control of their actions and senses. I’ve been shitfaced falling down, puking on the floor drunk many times in my life, and now that I’m older, I’d rather not be that way anymore. I still drink socially once in a while, but I can’t stand a drunk anymore. Drunk people are just friggen obnoxious. It’s no different than vegans, or any other belief, lifestyle choice, or inhibition that causes them to make the choices they make. If you don’t like being around people like this, then either don’t hang out with them, or make “sober time” to hang out with them, stop drinking so much, and RESPECT their wishes. It IS a free country still, right?
For some people the decision not to drink is religious, for others it is just a lifestyle choice and for some there is just no thrill like sanctimony.
for starter 50,000 people each year killed by drunk drivers,,,i know u never get that drunk heard that so much im sick of it
Be your own person!right on!!
